はるばる波佐見より、
景丘の家のお庭でどんな草木が育ったらこの場に豊かな続きが出来るだろうと考え、植樹をしてくれた庭師の山口さん。

また今年も草木の育て方、剪定のコツや見立て方を教えていただきながら、庭しごとを体験しましょう。
「木を切ることによって木を活かす」「切った枝もゴミじゃないよ」と話す山口さんと景丘の家の植物と触れ合う時間を過ごしましょう。

Pleasure of working in the garden

Mr. Yamaguchi, a gardener, came all the way from Hasami, Nagasaki to plant trees in the garden of Kageoka, thinking, “What kind of plants and trees would enrich this place if they grew in the garden?”

This year, he will teach us how to grow plants and trees, pruning tips, and how to look after them, as we experience spring garden work again.

Let’s spend some time interacting with the plants at Kageoka with Mr. Yamaguchi, who says, “We make the most of trees by cutting them down,” and “Cutting branches are not garbage.”

山口陽介庭師

1980年長崎県波佐見町生まれ。
高校卒業後京都の庭師の元で作庭を修行し、ガーデニングを学ぶためイギリスに渡る。王立植物園KEW内の日本庭園を担当しつつ、イギリスの生活に根ざしたガーデニングを学ぶ。帰国後、日本の長崎に拠点を置き日本と世界で作庭する。
