みなさんは「からむし」という草を知っていますか？
何万年も前から日本人はこの草を使って、服や紐を作ってきました。

乾いてかたくなった草を叩いたりもんだりしてやわらかくし、ねじって紐を作ります。
作った紐で自分の好きなものを吊るしてみましょう。

鍵、パスケース、木の実…吊るしたいものを持ってきてね。

Let’s make a string with the grass called “Karamushi.

Do you know the grass called “Karamushi”?
For tens of thousands of years, Japanese have been using this grass to make clothes and strings.

Let’s soften the dry and brittle grass by beating or kneading it, and twist it to make strings.
Hang your favorite things with the string you made. Keys, passcase, nuts…bring what you want to hang.
