『しめ飾りワークショップ「鳥お飾り」を作ろう』ことほき(安藤健浩)/しめかざりプロジェクト

しめ飾りは新年にむけて、古い年の災いを閉め出し、
新しい年の神様をお迎えする清浄な場所を示す目印として、家庭では玄関先などに飾ります。

今回のワークショップでは、稲作りから手がけた素材を使い、
『鳥お飾り』を藁(わら)を綯(な)い、縄を作るところから制作します。

本格的なしめ飾り作りに挑戦して、2024年の新春を迎えましょう。

Let’s make bird shaped “shimekazari”

Kotohoki (Yasuichiro Suzuki + Takehiro Ando) / Shimekazari Project

“Shimekazari” are decorated at the entrance of houses for the New Year. It is a sign to indicate a clean place to shut out the bad luck of the old year and welcome the God of the new year.

In this workshop, you can make a “shimekazari (bird decoration)” using materials that we have worked on from rice cultivation. We will start from twisting the straw to make a rope.

Let’s welcome the New Year 2024 with a real shimekazari.

*Children below 1st grade of junior high school must be accompanied by an adult.

Things to bring: Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (no skirts please).

もうすぐ楽しいクリスマス!
クリスマスにぴったりなかわいいお人形さんのオーナメントを作ってみませんか?

毛糸をグルグル巻いたり、結んだり。
とてもシンプルな作り方で、世界にひとつだけのお人形が出来上がります。

小さなお子さまでも紐が結べたりハサミが自分で使えたら親子で参加可能です。

Wrap or tie the yarn, you can make a one-of-a-kind doll with very simple way.

Small children can participate with their parents or guardian if they can tie the yarn or use scissors by themselves.

『和紙と竹でつくる「和凧」の文化にふれてみよう』福岡正巳/凧の博物館

地域によって形も名前も様々な「ふるさとの凧」は
自然やくらしに結びついた伝統文化のひとつです。

日本の凧(和凧)、世界の凧、凧の歴史を紐ときながら和紙と竹で出来た凧に、
好みの図柄をえがいて凧揚げをしてみましょう。

There are various kinds of kites with different shapes and names depending on the region. Local kites” are a part of traditional culture connected to nature and daily life.

In this workshop, we will introduce the history of Japanese kites (wako) and kites from around the world. Then, let’s draw your favorite design on a kite made of Japanese paper and bamboo and try flying it.
