A Small Tour – Stories of the Earth Beginning at the River
Stones of various colors and shapes are lying in Yokose River in Chichibu.
When were these stones formed and how did they come here?
Each stone, even an ordinary one, has its own history and story. Let’s look for various kinds of pebble stones on the banks of Yokose River where you can find many kinds of pebble stones!
Look at them, touch them, classify them, and make specimens.
Let’s spread our wings of imagination to the time when the earth was formed and the universe while listening to a lecture by a lecturer who has studied about the earth and the universe. Let the pebbles speak eloquently about the origins of Chichibu and the Japanese archipelago and the dynamic nature of the earth.
Let’s eat a delicious bento lunch together using ingredients from Yokose!
